Best of CRAFT 2011: Videos
Here are my very favorite videos we have posted and featured on CRAFT in 2011. In keeping with the holiday cheer, I absolutely LOVED Chronicle Books Holiday Card.
I couldn't help sharing this haunting and amazing Spike Jonze short film a couple of months ago.
Thank you, Andrew, for bring this amazing Pen Nibb dress video to our attention. This video is mesmerizing.
Andrew is also responsible for the viral sensation that is the Machine Knit Cosby Sweater that he made with Becky.
Becky illuminates her shoes in her LED Shoe Clip video. Super cute!
Make:Live Halloween Party episode made it to the top 10 for the X Files opening alone. The truth is out there, and so is this awesome addition of Make:Live with Becky and Matt.
Corinne's Day of the Dead Costume is another amazing Halloween addition. Love that make-up job.
I also dig Corinne's shoe bling video. Who doesn't love a little sparkle toe action?
Out of the 12 videos I have made for CRAFT this year, I would have to say my top two are the Color Block Mountain Mural on pure aesthetics.
Making my favorite video that I made my Flashdance Welding video. With the help of Becky and Hackett we welded, we cut glass, we wore a bathing suit on the internet. It happened and it was awesome.

Best of Craft 2011: Recipes

We love recipes on CRAFT, because, well, food is delicious! We like easy recipes, complicated recipes, vegan recipes, and bacon. Here, in no particular order are my 10 favorite recipes that our contributors have created for you this year. I hope they inspire you to cook up something special.
10.
Savory Bread Pudding
I love to cook, but never considered writing up a recipe. This is my first attempt, and the feedback and comments posted could not have been more glowing.
9.
Calzone Hearts
While melted cheese might get everywhere, that would not stop me from eating these beauties with my hands.
8.
Butterless Sponge Cake
This cake would make the perfect foil for just about any topping. Fresh fruit, yes. A dusting of cocoa, yes. You could even take all the butter that didn't go in the cake and make it into caramel sauce. Yes.

Best of CRAFT 2011: Nerdy Crafts
What makes a project "nerdy" these days? Embroidered Super Mario purses? Dr. Who references on greeting cards? ANYTHING with Liz Lemon? No matter your geek-filled passion, you can be sure there are crafters out there who love it just as much as you (I mean, I made a quilt for Duran Duran, for heaven's sake). We even have a whole month dedicated to geekiness in the spring! This year saw TONS of Nyan Cat crafts, stitched iPhone covers, Angry Birds anything, and more Dr. Who projects than ever. Here are some of our nerd-themed favorites from 2011.
