Needle-Felted Yip Yip Alien

Craftster user Krissykat made herself a funny little Yip-Yip alien toy! He's completely needle-felted, with yarn-wrapped pipecleaner antennae. For those of you unfamiliar with (or too young to remember) the Yip-Yip aliens, they were pretty much the funniest Muppets to ever grace Sesame Street (see YouTube clip below). Link.

Subatomic Plush

The Particle Zoo is home to hand-sewn plushies meant to represent subatomic particles. Their weights vary according to their properties--heavy guys like the Higgs Boson are stuffed with sand, while massless bosons are stuffed with fluffy polyfil. Science nerds and crafters everywhere, rejoice! Link.
