How-To: DIY Polka Dot Tights

Fun fashion tights are one of my favorite cool-weather accessories, but they're always so expensive. Not to be deterred, Kate from See Kate Sew got creative with a plain white pair and some black fabric paint, creating her own polka dot tights for a fraction of the price!

Be warned: This craft is not for the faint of heart. Unless you've got some mannequin legs hanging out in your crafting stash, you're going to have to paint the dots while wearing the tights to get the shape and pattern to look right.

Hmmmm, I'm wondering if it would work to make a duct tape double of your legs (like the kind you make as a cheap sewing dummy), because I know there's no way I'd be able to sit still while the paint dried without completely smearing it all over place.
