Craft: transforming traditional crafts

I've been hanging on to a huge bag of little felted sweater scraps, and now I'm feeling justified, because I can't wait to try out this beautiful patchwork technique with them!

Cintia from My Poppet has a great tutorial that covers making the patchwork and then creating this pretty lined iPad cover with it. And I could also see the patchwork as pot holders, trivets, and a spiffy new iPhone case.
