Meal planning is my downfall. I'm not a great cook, my kids are picky eaters, and I can never seem to get my act together to have meals planned for even half the days of the week. I'm working on getting better in this area of domesticity, so I'm eyeing with interest this magnetic meal planner tutorial from Amy of The Red Chair Blog for Tatertos and Jello. She's provided a downloadable template for creating meal magnets and a week organizer and shows how to transform freebie advertising magnets into an interactive planner the whole family can use.
Growing up with lots of siblings, we had dry erase markers on the fridge (which was white, so we wrote directly on it). Every week we wrote out a chart with days of the week, the name of the kid cooking that day, and what they were making. Not as elegant as magnets, perhaps, but it worked.
