Counter Made From Books

counter_made_from_stacked_books.jpg

I love this counter (spotted in a book store) made entirely from stacked books and topped with a flat surface. As Cambria over at Re-Nest points out, the options for working this concept in to your home decor are endless.

... we could see all sorts of applications for it in the home: as a kitchen counter, a low coffee table, a bedside table. And for all of those don't-destroy-books-for-the-sake-of-your-next-craft-project people, this is a nice creative reuse alternative that keeps all those wonderful books perfectly intact!

Not sure if this is a good or bad thing, but I believe books will become obsolete soon to the point where we can build entire houses out of them. I bet they're great insulators!
