Knitting Green Challenge

Knitting Green by Ann Bud is for knitters who are comitted to the environment and are looking for projects with an organic or recycled twist. Personally I love using organic yarn and I love projects for bamboo yarn for the upcoming spring/summer months. All in all, this book has 20 patterns from sweaters, hats, socks, accessories and more -- perfect for yourself or for making gifts.

Knitting Daily is hosting a Knitting Green challenge in celebration of the book! Watch the video below on Mags Kandis' technique for making yarn and come up with your own finished objects--scarves, bags, mats, and so on. To read more details and find out how to enter, visit Knitting Daily.

Learn how to take your clothing scraps to make yarn with this Knitting Daily video featuring Mag Kandis, a contributor to the Knitting Green book. This video really illustrates the process and the key technique of Mags's overhand knot for stringing your clothing scraps together.
