How-To: Felt Dahlia Corsage

How_To_Make_A_Felt_Dahlia.jpg

Megan of Not Martha created this amazing felt dahlia brooch tutorial for Holidash. It's geared toward a Mother's Day project (including a wee pocket on the back for a picture of your kiddo) but it would make a gorgeous accessory for any occasion. Get the full details on how it's made over on Holidash. [via @bugsandfishes]

...For my prom as a wrist corsage using one of these bracelets: http://corsagecreations.co.uk. I made the flower smaller and used glue as well - have used wire in the past. Thanks for the tip! x

I love this post! Thanks so much for sharing it!

Like the previous reviewer I used a hot glue gun ( after first experimenting with the fabric glue, and it was much easier ).

Also, instead of using felt, I used vinyl and I made the flower much bigger.

Check it out here!

I am currently obsessed with dahlias, so when I saw this post I knew I had to make one of these! I just finished my first one (yes, I'm making another one for my MIL, and one for me too!) and I have a couple suggestions: instead of using fabric glue, use hot glue. Also, since I don't have pinking shears, I sewed a few beads to the center circle before gluing it on. Love Love Love!
