From Pattern to Garment

Petit Main Sauvage has two great posts on creating your own shrug pattern and then turning the pattern into the final garment. There are great step-by-step photos and a nice amount of hand-holding. I love when accomplished sewers share some of the obvious-to-them but never-would-have-occurred-to-me details that are part of creating something from scratch.
