Craft: transforming traditional crafts

These cute mascots are all about cheering on the actual Winter Olympics, but they also could serve as inspiration for the Yarn Harlot's Knitting Olympics. Stephanie Pearl-McPhee is challenging knitting "athletes" to push themselves to the limit of their abilities and to take up a new knitting project that they can complete in 17 days. I would love to see someone make a real life version of Sumi's hat, Quatchi's earmuffs, and Miga's scarf!
