Book Review + Giveaway: One-Yard Wonders

Banner Book Oneyardwonders

It takes a book like One-Yard Wonders to make you realize the potential of what you can make with simply one yard of fabric! Authors Rebecca Yaker and Patrica Hoskins fill the book with 101 sewing projects for you, your kids, and practically every room in your house. The spiral-bound book comes also with a pocket with lots of pattern pieces. Some of my favorite projects are the ones for organization and clothing. I'm still amazed that all of the projects can be made with just one yard. This book gives you a great excuse to splurge on a variety of patterned fabric since all you need is one yard!

Book Giveaway Time!
We are giving away 3 copies of One-Yard Wonders. Just leave a comment in this post and tell us why you need this book. Please make sure you include your email address in the comment form field (won't be published). All comments will be closed by 5pm PST on Friday, December 4th. The lucky winners will be announced on the site. Good luck!

See more of my favorite projects from the book after the jump!

Oneyardwonders Clothing-1
There are so many great clothing projects in the book for women and kids. I'm loving this strapless belted tunic (you could wear this now with a black turtleneck under!) and this adorable Ballet-Neck Toddler Dress.

Oneyardwonders Projects
The projects for the home are not to shabby either. I'm in dire need of organizing and cleaning. I love this Sewing Tools Trio project where you can sew up a sewing machine cover, wrist pincushion, and needlebook holder. I also love this hanging wall pocket -- a pretty way to sort your bills.

I'm learning to sew and this would be a wonderful tool to have! I LOVE to go to Garage Sales and/or thrift stores and I always find awesome fabrics, but they're usually pretty small to work with. I hope you can help a sewing virgin out! Thank you!

(Not sure if my first comment was posted successfully so here I go again.)

I need this book because it'd be perfect for my best friend's birthday present! Her husband bought her a sewing machine for their anniversary a few months ago and this book, plus a few yards of pretty fabric, would be a perfect complement!

I came so very close to buying this the other day, but decided since it's Christmas time, I'm not allowed to buy myself any crafting books. I'd so love to have it to help out in making Christmas gifts!

Posted by: Trillian on December 4, 2009 at 12:33 PM

This would be an excellent aid for my new year's resolution to whittle away at my fabric stash (more of a hoard, honestly). In the past I always ended up buying only a yard of fabric because its pretty, without any idea what I was going to do with it.

Posted by: Drizella on December 4, 2009 at 12:00 PM

What a great book! I would love, love, love to win this! I do a lot of charity sewing. I see a few things I could use my stash for to make and donate to one of my causes.

Every time I go to the book store I look for this book and they never have it!! I need to get a copy!

Posted by: karmyk on December 4, 2009 at 9:05 AM

My husband and I just had a baby, and it seems like all the baby stuff has been taking over our tiny little one bedroom apartment lately.. I saw this book while enjoying a free mommy moment away the other day, and the projects looked so fun and (generally) simple... and it would be nice to create gifts for family who live far away by doing a little bit of crafting without creating a great big mess with the few moments of free time I get during the day. Besides, growing up, it always felt like the homemade gifts I got from my mother, grandmother, and aunts were so much more meaningful, no matter how simple they were. I have no idea what would make me deserve winning such a cool book... but I figured I might as well try. :)

I would love to win this book. I have a bunch of fabric that i am wondering what I should do with it.

Posted by: Rosemary on December 4, 2009 at 8:42 AM

I go to fashion college, just moved into my own place and I have a ton of yard-long scraps left over from projects that I never know what to do with! I can't get rid of them because they're pretty high quality fabrics and I hate to store them away for too long. Plus, projects that don't require too much fabric tend to take less time, and with a full time job and classes to attend, I need to cut my hobbies down to as short a time as possible!

I need this!
1) We just sunk our life savings into buying a house and I have no money for big sewing projects, but have lots of 1 yard scraps!
2) Since we just bought a house we have SO MUCH to organize and it looks like there are good home-organizing projects in here
3) Since we just bought the new house I don't have time for BIG projects. But I don't want to neglect my sewing because I absolutely love to sew.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE! I'd buy it myself, but I can't afford anything! (see #1).

THANK YOU!

Omg, it would be perfect should I win this book! My sewing machine is finally repaired and I'm itching to start on a few new projects. Soonish (second half of december -__-) it's also that time of the year when one has to study her ass off and little crafting projects would be the perfect thing to relax my mind once in a while!

I just love this idea, having a huge box of leftover fabrics, many a yard or a bit more. I'd love to know what to do with them! Based on the article, I can see that my granddaughter would get a lot of clothing & lots of cozy things for the house would begin to turn up if I win this book. Thanks for the giveaway!

Posted by: Amy Reed on December 3, 2009 at 10:06 PM

It seems as though whenever I find a really fantastic bolt of fabric that costs more than a few dollars (Amy Butler, for example) all I can talk myself into purchasing is one yard. I now have a very nice pile of one yard cuts and nothing at all to do with them. But I just couldn't help but buy them at the time! This book looks like it's just my style.

I'm fortunately from a family of crafters and we all love making presents for each other. However, I currently have one niece and nephew with another on the way, and now I have an entire new (in-law) side of the family to craft for! So finding ways to use less fabric for more beautiful presents is full of win. I'm hoping I can someday teach my niece and sister-in-law how to sew, and what better way than to start with good projects like these?

Plus I want to get my fabric stash back from the cats. They've claimed it as their favorite sleeping space.

Posted by: Katie on December 3, 2009 at 6:03 PM

This would be a great book for me! Just recently I have been using my sewing machine more and really enjoying what I've been making. I never buy more than a yard or so at a time, sometimes without a project in mind. A yard is the perfect size to use for any project because it'll never cost more than $10 (in my cheap Jo-ann's craft world).

I just buy more fabric with nothing to make. Now I have several 1-yard pieces that I need to use up. Plus I went to Tokyo earlier this year and got lots of fun fabrics, so I need this book so I can actually use some of these awesome fabrics!!

Thanks.

I have been anticipating this book's release and can't wait to get my hands on a copy. Please oh please let me win! I have so many one yard lengths in my stash that I need some inspiration for. Plus, its been awhile since I've gotten a craft book fix. I even have this specific book on my Christmas wish list!

This is such a good idea! As a poor college student, I can't afford more than one yard for each of the projects I want to try - because there are always so many of them! :P

Of all the crafting books that I covet,
and hope to get this holiday season,
this is the one that would be the most useful
and the one with most reason.

My many remnants and splurge purchases of 'why not, I love
this fabric!'
would find wonderful homes in being made into objects
rather than flat squares
stored in my closets.

Oooo this book looks lovely! I need this book because
1. I have been teaching myself to sew and am very excited and want to sew everything.
2. I have a very limited supply of fabric. (So projects using 1 yard sound gooooood!)
3. Because I love sewing so much, my sewing machine is always out. However, it doesn't have a cover (big sad face) BUT from the pictures it looks as though I could make a cover for my sewing machine with the help of this book (big happy face)!
Thanks for the great blog!

Posted by: Raphaelle on December 2, 2009 at 10:44 PM

As many of us face the ever increasing time constraints of the fast approaching holiday season, this little gem could come in handy for a last minute gift using what we already have. The true bonus is saving me time by using something that I have on hand while keeping me at home finishing a project rather than out in the holiday traffic & general retail outlet congestion, all the while reducing my carbon footprint and reducing that ever-growing stash of *who-needs-a-specific-project-I-just-HAVE-to-have-it-because-it's-SO-CUTE* purchases. (I know I'm not the only one out there!)
Plus, I have a yard of the cutest broccoli print fabric that I have NO idea what to do with!

Growing up as a seamstress' daughter I horded 1 yard remnants. Now that I am "grown" up and out of the house and therefore on a very tight budget... I find that all I can usually afford is 1 yard segments of fab fabrics. My hubby and I just moved into our first house and I would love to get some fresh and creative ideas for organizing my home by using the fabric remnants I have. When I saw the divided organizer on the cover of this book I just knew I had to leave a comment! It would be the perfect solution to my bathroom (and craftroom) clutter!

I have a stockpile of fabric from my grandma and mother that I would LOVE to use but I can never think of projects that require little fabric or don't take a lot of time. I need this book to help go through my stash! If I see something that really jumps out at me I tend to buy a yard or two of material, even when I don't have a project in mind. Which has led to a large stash of large pieces of fabric that I don't have any specific use for.
And quick projects really are more my cuppa :)

I really need this book! It will help me use up my 'stash' and improve my sewing skills.

Posted by: Kathy on December 2, 2009 at 4:15 PM

I would love this book to help me improve my sewing skills! I've been recycling old comforters, sheets and fabric scraps and these projects would be a perfect way to do so!

Posted by: Anya on December 2, 2009 at 4:10 PM

I'd love to win because I have a sewing studio full of fabric that needs to be made into something! Thanks for the chance.

Posted by: RebeccaCT on December 2, 2009 at 4:08 PM

I never could resist those piles of remnants. Not to mention all the clothing--"It doesn't fit but the fabric's great!"

Posted by: STephanie on December 2, 2009 at 4:07 PM

wow I would LOVE this book! And i definitely need it, because back in the day, before i started really getting my crafty on... i used to always buy just 1 yard of the fabrics i liked because i didn't know what i would make with it! so now I have piles of one yard wonders all about, and have yet to figure out what to do with it all! so with this book... problem would be solved. thanks!

I'm a crafty girl married to a grad student and mom to one with another arriving in a few months. It puts a huge smile on my face to think about a book that will help me get my craft "fix" in a pretty inexpensive way!

I need this book because I am a total fabric hoarder and I need to use some of it before it takes over my house! Help!!!

Posted by: Citric Sugar on December 2, 2009 at 3:56 PM

I would love to have this book. Sometimes you only have a small amount of time, a small amount of fabric and need the satisfaction of a great project. Plus, I read the blogs of a number of the contributors so it would be wonderful to have a collection of their projects. :-)

Posted by: Marie on December 2, 2009 at 3:52 PM

I'm new to sewing and craft in general. This looks like such a great book to help me get started, especially with the season of handmade gifts here.

Posted by: coldbeer666 on December 2, 2009 at 3:51 PM

I have so may random 1 yard pieces of fabric that I have no idea what to do with.

Posted by: jessy on December 2, 2009 at 3:51 PM

I'd love to have a copy because I need to bust my fabric stash and I'm on a severe budget right now! I've completed all my big projects, and I'd like to be able to do something with all the leftovers!

Posted by: ottery on December 2, 2009 at 3:44 PM

I need this book to give to my friend Rachel, who just got a sewing machine and needs some ideas for fun things to try with it.

Posted by: Loren Anderson on December 2, 2009 at 3:44 PM

When I see cute fabric I buy just a yard and now I'll finally be able to make something with it!

Posted by: Jamila on December 2, 2009 at 3:43 PM

My mom gave me her old sewing machine last year and I've yet to uncover it. This book is just the inspiration I need to begin creating projects with the yards of fabric that I screenprint at home. I would love to have this book!

Posted by: yarngasm.wordpress.com on December 2, 2009 at 3:38 PM

I have so many small cuts of fabric from shopping in the remnants bin at the fabric store, so this would be excellent inspiration to use up the bits and bobs. Some of those projects also look like they'd make great gifts, and I love giving handmade gifts!

Posted by: elana on December 2, 2009 at 3:22 PM

I'm still trying to figure out how to sew, so getting this would be a great way to use very little and see a great result!

Posted by: Cath on December 2, 2009 at 3:13 PM

I need this because I really want to get started in sewing but I've to start with small but cute things :) And try not to spend my entire money in fabric (especially when I'm still learning :D)

Posted by: Lisa on December 2, 2009 at 3:09 PM

I find fabric that I love, but then end up not wanting to cut it. I'm sure I could find lots of projects that I would want to make in this book

Posted by: Pickled Weasel on December 2, 2009 at 3:03 PM

Mainly because I have such a huge stash of diddy bits of fabric, and I have a self-imposed fabirc buying ban until I use some of it up. So if I won this book it would contribute to the craft economy as I would be able to buy more fabric :)

Posted by: cdsedlar on December 2, 2009 at 3:00 PM

Yes, that's me. I always justify buying 1-1 1/2 yards extra because I think, "What if I decide to alter the pattern, I'll NEED more" or "What if I miss-cut, I'll NEED more" or "This is so pretty, I NEED some for my quilting stash" or "Oh, it's on sale, I NEED a little"....Do you see the problem?? I love the variety of pictures of things I could make as gifts, for my home and for myself to use my stash of NEEDed extra yards. So, PLEASE justify the "justifier"....I would LOVE to have this book!! Thanks for the give-away!

Posted by: Jane on December 2, 2009 at 2:46 PM

I would like this book because I too am a remnant buying maniac and really need some good ideas for using them.

Posted by: Salihan on December 2, 2009 at 2:42 PM

I've got a bad case of RSI from knitting and crocheting and I NEED this book as I'm learning to sew in order to save my arm for future use. And with a tight budget, small 1-yard projects are ideal!

Posted by: Mary on December 2, 2009 at 2:37 PM

My mom and sister would both love this book! My mom because she has tons of one yard pieces of scraps left over from numerous sewing projects throughout the years, and my sister because she has just discovered how awesome sewing is - and one yard of fabric isn't that expensive.

Or I could just take the book myself and make awesome Christmas presents...

Posted by: cupper on December 2, 2009 at 2:33 PM

I have been charged with teaching teenage girls to sew. What a great resource. The pictures look like it is exactly the book I need to get them interested and to stay within my budget.I love the clothing projects shown.

This would be a great book to have as I get into sewing again- no huge commitment in terms of materials (one yard! I can manage that!) Also, it would go along brilliantly with the One Skein Wonders books I have.

Posted by: Heather D on December 2, 2009 at 2:28 PM

I love to sew and always want something to make. I need this book so I can always have a new, original idea to keep me busy and able to keep my sewing knack. Fabric can be expensive, so having a project that only takes 1 yard of fabric is perfect!

Posted by: Jen E on December 2, 2009 at 2:28 PM

I've made a rule for myself that I can't buy more craft materials until I use up some of my stash...but I need some new ideas to do that!

Posted by: Savanah on December 2, 2009 at 2:25 PM

I have some fabric I have purchased just for the simple fact that I liked it. This book will give me an idea of what to do with some of it. A great way to reuse scrap pieces as well.

Posted by: Jennifer on December 2, 2009 at 2:23 PM

I usually never buy pieces of fabric larger than one yard since it's so expensive. This would be great to expand the type of things I can sew with one yard!

Posted by: Sonya on December 2, 2009 at 2:21 PM

i was sitting here at borders browsing through this book when i opened my laptop and read this post. the book is very cool. i especially like the number of patterns/tutorials, and the fact that there are different authors. i would love it!

As a grad student, I don't have a lot of income, so I buy fabric at garage sales and from the scrap bin. I am always looking for fun projects for gifts, new clothes, or decorations for the house. I also don't have a lot of time, so these smaller projects would be perfect for balancing lab work and relaxing while sewing!

I need this book because I've had a horrible month: my apartment was robbed, the washer and heater broke, my family heirloom jewelry was stolen, and its been one work or school problem after another. The solace I find in my craft projects is what's keeping me together, and there are only so many place mats and napkins this beginner sewer can make! Please provide me with new distractions!!!!

I am currently studying abroad working on my MLIS. I made sure to haul my sewing machine across the border because my creativity keeps me grounded and keeps homesickness at bay, but with my course load and little apartment, big crafty undertakings aren't really an option. One yard projects sound just right :)

Posted by: whitty on December 2, 2009 at 1:40 PM

I totally need this book because it has been on my Amazon wishlist for forever and I suffer from a pitiable condition that causes me to buy "just one yard" of every cute fabric I see. To finally put all those "just one yards" to use would be most excellent!

And my three pugs definitely need some cute little beds just like the pug on the cover. And at "just one yard" they could each have their own!!

Posted by: Rachel on December 2, 2009 at 1:38 PM

This is just what I need to get into sewing!

Posted by: Lillian Walker on December 2, 2009 at 1:37 PM

I go to estate & garage sales whenever I can, and I always seem to end up with at least 2 or 3 pieces of fabric (usually for less than $0.25 a yard!!) that are only a yard or so big. I've made quilts and little bags with them, but I've run out of ideas for using just a single yard. I could definitely put this book to good use using up my 100+ cuts of single yard material!

Posted by: Courtney on December 2, 2009 at 1:36 PM

Hi Craft Muses!

I'm just getting into sewing now and this book looks like it would give me everything I need to finally finish a sewing project (and have it come out looking like intended!) Please pick me sew I can begin sewing with a cheaper and less likely to disappoint barrier to entry!

Posted by: Mom6 on December 2, 2009 at 12:24 PM

Up until my 4th child was born, I was able to do quite a bit of sewing. That first year after she was born, my sewing time became extremely limited. The addition of children #5 and 6 put the kabosh on any hope I had of getting back to sewing like I use to. I still hanker to sew though - just need small, easy and quick projects that will fit in during naptime, between running kids to and from everywhere, etc with instant gratification potential. I pared down my stash considerably as I just didn't have the time to do all those projects. However, I just could not bear to part with some of my nicer fabrics - most of which are right around that yard mark. I lucked into an Amy Butler sampler - all one yard cuts - a couple years back. How I would love to turn that into some lovely Christmas gifts for my extended family. With finances tighter than ever this year - I am going for a handmade Holiday. This book would help so much in that endeavor.

Wow - what a cool book! I need it so I can use my own fabric designs and random yards lying around...would be so nice!

Posted by: Sarah Jay on December 2, 2009 at 12:19 PM

This book would really help me use up the stash of cute fabrics I already have and give me an excuse to buy "just a yard" of the new ones that catch my eye.

Posted by: TanyaJS on December 2, 2009 at 12:19 PM

I have so many 1 yard pieces and no ideas. This book will be great to have to help use some of those fabrics up!

Posted by: Katherine Youngs on December 2, 2009 at 12:19 PM

Years ago I worked at a fabric store and I'm still working through the stash that I accumulated. Most of the pieces I have left are a yard or two long at most, and it's impossible to find any more. Help me destash so that I have room to store new fabric, please!

Hi! I need this book because I have so many one-yards of everything that I don't know what to do!

Posted by: Sarah on December 2, 2009 at 12:17 PM

I am just a sewing novice but I love to buy just a yard of fabric that catches my eye and then never know what to do with just one yard!

Posted by: Michelle on December 2, 2009 at 12:17 PM

... and also because so many of my bloggy friends are in this book! That's why I need to get my hands on a copy. :0) Thanks for the chance.

I love this idea! For those of us with a meager sewing budget, it looks like a great resource. Will definitely be checking it out whether I win one or not.

Posted by: Ashley Whiteside on December 2, 2009 at 12:15 PM

When my grandmother passed last year, she left a car-full of fantastic vintage fabric scraps and remnants to my mom. We've been working here and there to use the pieces, but wanted to make something for all 29 or Stella's children, grandchildren, greats and even one great-great that knew her and loved her so much...using this fabric of hers, of course. Needing some help with ideas. So match great fabric, and so many deserving family members. (She left quite a legacy!)

Posted by: Carrie Kilgore on December 2, 2009 at 12:11 PM

This would be fabulous for my daughter, who loves to whip up things for her adorable 3 year-old and 11 year-old daughters, not to mention a thousand other wonderful things. She's also part owner of a scrapbooking/media-art/creativity-gone-wild store, and I already see designs many of her customers would love. She's raising her kids like I raised her and her siblings: so much more fun to make what you need than to buy it ready-made. Plus, with the pile of 1-2 yard fabulous cloths in her sewing room, she's ready to plunge right in. (Maybe grandma might get a few nifty presents, too!)

Posted by: Tarra Eller-McFadden on December 2, 2009 at 12:11 PM

I'm a beginner sewer and I'd love to create some projects with some of the great fabric I have. I find it easier to buy cute fabric then come up with something to do with it!

Posted by: Misa on December 2, 2009 at 12:10 PM

Could really use this book. Just purchased various yards of fabric in pretty prints and need some inspiration. Not so good at coming up with patterns and this book would be a godsend.

Posted by: russ on December 2, 2009 at 12:08 PM

My wife would love this book. It would be a great gift for her for Christmas, winning it would be fantastic since we aren't suppose to spend much on each other.

Thanks!

As a new seamstress, I'm always looking for small projects. This book seems like it would be right up my alley! Thanks for such a cool giveaway! :)

Posted by: Anonymous on December 2, 2009 at 12:07 PM

I LOVE craft books of all kinds. I am also a student, so trying to collect books I actually have to buy, is a bit challenging. I also have a bunch of fabric remnants sitting in my craft room waiting to be used! Please choose me, it would make my horrible autumn quarter seem very unimportant, and would brighten my holiday! ox

Posted by: Ivy on December 2, 2009 at 12:07 PM

Times are tough, and I'd love some great ideas for high-impact gift projects that won't break the supplies budget.

Posted by: Anonymous on December 2, 2009 at 12:06 PM

I need this because I'm just sort of getting started sewing and it would be nice to have projects to try that only required one yard. That way when I totally mess it up (hopefully not though!) I only wasted one yard of fabric instead of more.

Posted by: Vania16 on December 2, 2009 at 12:05 PM

I need the book because I have a ton of one yard cuts of fabric LOL! I'm always finding fabrics I love and think "I'll just get a yard and find something fund to make with it" but now I've run short of ideas, so this would be perfect!

Posted by: Dawn on December 2, 2009 at 12:04 PM

I need this book because there are so many awesome fabrics out there and I buy a yard here and there and then have a collection of random yards of fabric in my stash.

I am a fabric hoarder, a frugal fabric hoarder, so I have heaps of small cus of fabric - I also have a short attention span, so simple projects are where it is at.

My fingers are crossed.

Posted by: Lynn on December 2, 2009 at 12:04 PM

I need this because I was gifted many scraps from friends to learn to sew with and I have yet to use them. I think most of the scraps are under 2 yards!

Posted by: Amy B. on December 2, 2009 at 12:04 PM

Thanks so much for letting us know about this book! I've been buying single yards of fabric for years now without projects in mind and this would be perfect! I may even have to go buy it if I don't win...

Posted by: Jacky on December 2, 2009 at 12:03 PM

I buy vintage fabrics all the time with no use in mind. I would love this book to help me bring these fabrics and organization to life.

When I started sewing this summer, I thought that collecting fabric was like collecting yarn - buying a yard of fabric's just like buying two skeins of yarn. You can probably make a scarf or something right? Now I have random fabric and I'm running out of people to make bags for. This book would be helpful at this point.

Posted by: Lolo on December 2, 2009 at 12:02 PM

I love this book! The other day I went to the book store and I looked inside. It was awesome! Love all the projects. They are really well made and easy to make it. i would love to have it to make new cute things. Thanks for the opportunity! Good luck to all!

How great is this? I know sometimes I'll come across remnants that are a yard or so that I can't resist. What a perfect way to use those up!!
I'd get to use up stash and make cute gifts, too!!

Posted by: Lorie on December 2, 2009 at 12:00 PM

I really could use this book! Every time I go to the craft store, I always stop by the remnant bin and so I have accumulated quite a bit of wonderful fabric in very small cuts. This book could help me turn those remnants into useful things! And with Christmas coming up shortly, it would be great to save some money and make some presents using all of those remnants.

I have got to make my dollars stretch these days and I end up buying just a yard of fabric because I love the print, but don't have any plans for it. This book would solve those problems! :)

Posted by: Chrissy on December 2, 2009 at 11:51 AM

I need it so I can make lunch bags just like that for the family. Wow, they are great!

I love the whole concept of this book. I have so many fabric remnants; it would be great to put them to use.

Posted by: Ginger on December 2, 2009 at 11:45 AM

I have SO many one yard cuts of fabric - I see something I love, but don't have a project in mind, so I just buy a yard.

Posted by: Remy on December 2, 2009 at 11:45 AM

Every time I go to the craft store I somehow end up in the clearance rack for fabric remnants, most conveniently cut to 1 yard or a bit less. Because I bought so much cheap fabric that was SO CUTE I just HAD TO HAVE IT, my fabric stock could likely stack to stand the height of my room.

I NEED this book. Something must be done to start working through this pile of pretty fabrics before they surround me completely and make it impossible to leave my room!

I have a whole pile of small pieces of fabric. Went a little crazy at garage sales this summer!

Posted by: Sare on December 2, 2009 at 11:44 AM

Ten plus years ago, my boyfriend (at the time)'s mother gave me a great big box of fabric. There were these small pieces of some of the most beautiful vintage and hand embroidered fabrics that I have ever seen. I've been keeping them in tow ever since waiting for the day I'd be struck both by the inspiration and the bravery to make them into something. This book looks like it.

Posted by: Palila on December 2, 2009 at 11:43 AM

I'd love this book! I have a hard time committing to more than one yard at the fabric store.

Posted by: adrienne on December 2, 2009 at 11:40 AM

I buy and hoard fabric in 1 yard increments (usually because I can never commit to more than 1 yard at a time). This book would be PERFECT for me :)
