London is one of my favorite places in the world and I may just have to go back there again soon now that there's a new Selvedge Store run by the folks of Selvedge Magazine. I'm already drooling over this photo above of all the pretty prints of fabric, spools of ribbon, notions, and quilts hanging in the back. The Selvedge Store is a place where the magazine comes to life with products that were previously featured in the magazine. Plus, how cute are the dresses worn by these two lovelies above? (I'm also loving all their bright tights in the photo below.)
The store just opened this past weekend and I'm curious to know if any CRAFT readers have been there. If so, leave a comment to this post. And if you are about to visit, please take some photos and add it to our CRAFT flickr pool.
About two years ago, Selvedge Magazine started a drygoods line selling products that were previously featured so that readers could easily buy the handmade gems. Below are some of the items in the Selvedge Drygoods Catalog that I'm loving. You can download the PDF to drool over all of them. They also have a separate Selvedge Drygoods e-commerce web site.

And if you haven't heard of Selvedge Magazine, please pick yourself up a copy! I found out about it from my fellow editor, Arwen O'Reilly Griffith who wrote a review of the magazine for a previous issue of CRAFT. Sometimes it's sold at crafty shops or boutiques in the U.S. or you can get a subscription online or buy back issues.
I probably will be travelling to London next week and i was looking for some nice - not so standard - shops. This is perfect! Will definitely take some pictures and add them to the Flickr Pool.

The opening celebration was great - and very crowded. Some of the designer goods are just STUNNING. Definitely worth a visit if you're here in London. Beautiful!

Thanks for this. There is a severe shortage of good craft and fabric shops over here, and this shop turns out to be quite close to where I live. Hooray!

YES!! I am going to London in two weeks - I am going to try my darndest to get over there and shoot some video/blog about it! Thank you SO MUCH for posting this!
