Craft: transforming traditional crafts

I always have a chuckle when I go in to help my daughter make her bed, and find random little toys and books shoved under her pillow. Apparently, she has a habit of staying up and reading and playing at night, and likes to shove things under her pillow when she's done and ready for sleep. I'm wondering if making her something like this simple bedside caddy from WhiMSy Love would help her rest more comfortably at night so she's not sleeping on a pillow on top of a million trinkets and books!
