Communicrafting Event in Austin

The Sublime Stitching gang is celebrating the release of Jenny Hart's two most recent titles from Chronicle Books (the Sublime Stitching Bib Kit and the Sublime Stitching Stitchable Stationery Kit) with a special Communicrafting event this Thursday at the Austin Museum of Arts. Jenny Hart will be on hand to sign books and mingle, and a group of local crafters will be on hand sharing quick demos of a variety of crafts. Guests include Kathie Sever of Future Craft Collective, Leslie Bonnell of Stitch Lab and Glitzkrieg, Diane Barney and Mary Macaulay from Austin Fiber Artists and, yours truly, Rachel Hobson from Craftzine.com and Average Jane Crafter. I love that Jenny and the Sublime Stitching gang have turned the release celebration into a full-on community crafting event with fun and learning. It doesn't get much better than that. The event is free, and there will be snacks and drinks provided. Be sure to pop by the Facebook event page to RSVP and get more information.
