Yep, we had zipper necklaces AND earrings back in the day! Everyone wanted to "unzip" the wearer.

When my grandmother died ten years ago, I received a zipper necklace almost exactly like those. :)
It was gold-tone, though.

I have a necklace at home that is almost just like this one and I had it for years... unfortunately I cant remember the name of the designer, but it has certainly been done before!
