I don't usually think of myself as a paper crafter--my comfort zone is definitely sewing--but the new book Handmade Hellos has me positively itching to break out the paper and glue. Created by Eunice and Sabrina Moyle (who run the Hello! Lucky Letterpress company), Handmade Hellos features a heap of clever card ideas from some of today's hottest crafters and designers, including The Small Object, Binth, Shim + Sons and more. There's a card idea for every occasion in here, and you can experiment with a bunch of different techniques from simple stamping and collage to creating pop-ups and screenprints. These cards are total works of art you can send off in the mail, and you've gotta love that.

I moved a couple of years ago and managed to lose contact with some very lovely people. You know what it's like, you leave it so ling that you feel embarrassed getting back in touch. It's my New Year's resolution to make a huge effort and get back in touch with everyone that I miss and think of often. Sending some beautifully crafted, handmade hellos would be a wonderful gesture ... please send me the book to help me on my way!

Recently I've gotten back into crafting and would love to try out new ideas. This book would be great to add to my collection of craft books.
Why do I want this book? As the saying goes.."No one stays in one place anymore." Two of my best friends have recently moved out of state and a handful of others no longer live as close. While I think ecards are cute, they are not as personal as hand-crafted cards.
I would love to make some of these cards for my friends for different occassions. It would definitely brighten their day and let them know I'm thinking of them.
I made my first serious handmade card when my grandfather was diagnosed with cancer. It was kind of a get-well card, even though the severity of illness wasn't exactly something you can get-well from. He is terminal, so most of all that card was to spread the love, and let him know I am thinking of him even though I am on the other side of the country.
Since that first card, I've been addicted to making my own cards. It's very soothing. Despite my enthusiasm for card-making, I am still very much an amateur and I hope to learn a great deal from Handmade Hellos!
Would love to learn how to make my own cards - store-bought cards are so impersonal... I'd like to step it up a notch!
i'm always making specialized cards for every occassion from scraps from all my other crafting. i'm usually inspired by store bought cards i receive, but i would love a copy of handmade hellos. looking at the pics in this post, i can see that i've been missing out on some ideas. i would love a copy!

I could really use this book because this year I moved to North Dakota from North Carolina and I rely heavily on snail mail to stay in touch with friends and family, especially our grandparents who don't have email. This would be an amazing resource to have!

I adore making handmade cards and the library selections of books aren't always so good. And like many crafters I am Broke! and need ideas for all my leftover scrapbook papers! Please!!

My puppy ate my last book on cardmaking (I was not happy but she's too cute to stay mad at!)

I love the ideas! That ornament card rocks. These are also things I could do WITH my kids, which just adds to the fun. :)
This would be an awesome addition to my book collection simply because, I have TONS and TONS of scrap paper, buttons, odds n ends, and miscellaneousness that i refuse to recycle all over my house that would be perfect match for craft ideas. It will give me a reason to sort things, and send things via snail mail... which I miss, and should do anyhow! Thanks bunches.

Highly, highly intrigued and that's why I need this. My wedding invites and last year's Christmas cards went out in origami envelopes like the ones above, so I can't wait to see what other ideas are in the book!
