Old Drawers Make New Planters

drawerplanters.jpg

Here's an idea from the CRAFT Flickr pool: use drawers from an old dresser as flowerbed planters! I'd coat them in plant-safe water-repellant polyurethane first if you wanted to preserve their appearance, otherwise let them get that weathered look outside. Drill holes in the bottom for drainage.

Thanks for the mention! Just in case anyone was wondering: No, I didn't put any sort of appearance-protector on the drawers. Nor did I drill holes in them, though I probably should have. The flowers seem to be doing okay in spite of my laziness.
