Saving Crochet Work In Resin

Carmi of Carmi's Art/Life World shows us how to save crochet work in resin. It's a great idea to preserve your vintage crochet pieces or turn your own crochet test swatches into little keepsakes. [ via Lion Brand Notebook ]

Neat idea.. but half the experience of working with fibers for me is texture.. being able to hold it and touch it. These gloopstick covered pieces can't be handled and loved :(

What on earth would I do with all those blocks of resin? My understanding is it isn't sturdy enough to use as tiles to cover a table or a counter with- and if it yellows like that, I don't think I'd want to cover a wall with it- so what can I do with it?

Saving Crochet Work in Resin

Having used resin for many items over the last 15 years, I would have appreciated knowing in advance that it turns brown with age and exposure to sunlight. Be warned!
