
Ikea Hacker points out lamps that Jim makes from things he finds at Ikea like this Ordning colander. I can't say I would ever use a colander as a lampshade, but it does look pretty cool.

... if only because this particular colander comes with a rolled edge that both keeps little pieces of pasta inside the contraption AND is slightly separated from the edge so it traps food inside the edge. Completely unsanitary and useless in the kitchen.
