This Saturday, June 7, Chronicle Books and Craft Gym will be hosting a party celebrating Lotta Jansdotter's new book, Lotta Prints. From Lotta's blog:
I would like to invite you to join me and my friends to do some fabric printing together. I have carved out some of my designs in rubber and potato stamps and it would be lovely if you wanted to join in and try them out. I will share some simple techniques and together we will print on fabric swatches. There will also be wine, plenty of inks and stencils and happy music to get inspired by. It would be great if you can come, no need to RSVP or reserve a spot. Kids, in all sizes, are VERY welcome!

I need this book. I spent five years working my way through post-bac and grad school, to graduate into a divorce and stunning debt. I've spent the last five years working through both, finally have my own place, and am *just now* getting back into crafting after about 10 years off. I would love to learn more about making some art, especially art that I can use over and over again to make more art.
