Mary Ellen wrote in about Chris Knits in Niagara who has a pattern for a knitted inukshuk on her web site. Apparently an inukshuk is "a directional marker that signifies safety, hope and friendship. Used by Inuit, it has become a beloved symbol of all Canadians."
