I love to make jewelry because i love the instant gratification! it is quick, it is easy! It is a great way to save money and accessorize to make the perfect outfit.
I used to make beaded baskets and jewelry often, and now I'm just working on getting back into the swing of things.
beading is like making wearable art! love how you can translate ideas into tangable jewellery and how every piece you hand-make is unique.

A friend gave me box full of beads and wire and findings - and I've no idea what to use them for. If I don't win the giveaway, I'm sure I will get my public library to track down this book for me anyway!

There are SO many reasons why I love to make jewelry... I love the satisfaction of making something amazing myself. I love wearing my own work. I love when my customers, friends and family wear my jewelry and it flatters them. When they tell me that they receive compliments on a piece and it makes them feel good. When someone has a piece made as a special gift and they tell me that the receiver loved it! That is always good too. :)

I would love to learn how to make jewelery. I buy jewelery regularly and use it as a way to express myself. I consider myself a creative person and would love to express that through my jewelry.
I love to create projects for kids parties and girl scout meetings. We use them to do fundraisers or just for a fun party game. I am a very young Mom and love crafting.

I would love to have this book because summer holidays are the best time to be creative.
I have so many beads that I have collected over the years saying "wow! look at the color/shape/shine of these! I want them!" and usually I don't know what to do with them. I have most of the stuff I need to make jewelery, I'm just really not sure how to do it, or do it well. Some instruction would be great! And then I could start using up my stash!
I love making my own jewelry because it is a creative way and often cost effective way to show my personality through accessories. I can create a piece of jewelry how I like it; not have to look through stores and just accept how a piece is made and buy it. Also, in these economic times, making jewelry is a huge mone saver than buying all different types of jewlery. I couldn't have a closet full of jewelry on my budget!
I see so many pretty, creative beads in the craft stores and bead shops that I would love to start using, but I don't have know how to make jewelry yet. I would love to be able to make my own bracelets!
I don't make jewelry very often, and it often isn't as beautiful in the final product as what I have in my head. This book might help me my technique and inspire me to take it up a notch. ... It is fun to reply to a comment of, I love your necklace, with, I made it!
I would love this book. I inherited a lot of bead jewelry from my sister in law but it is not my taste. It would be great to be able to use the beads and make new jewelry for myself.

OMG! I really want this book. I read about it on another blog about two weeks ago and I went straight to Sonya's site and read all of her awesome project ideas and watched her vids on YouTube. I love making jewelry and anything crafty. I am inspired by people like Sonya who take such joy from making things beautiful and interesting. Making jewelry is especially wonderful because anyone can wear it and it lasts forever! It makes amazing gifts!

I would love to have this book- I have been taking really great books (on all sorts of projects) out of the library for months, but since I have two small boys, I only get to drool over them for a few minutes at a time before I take them back. I would love to have a neat book like this to gather ideas from, and to better use the few moments of "me" time that I have! It is great to own my own book so that I can write notes and ideas, and paste in pictures and other odds and ends of my own. The librarians generally frown on that sort of thing!
I have a ton of odd supplies, but my mental energy and creative mojo have been really low since my second son was born several months ago-I have very little time for myself, and when I do, I run out of ideas pretty quickly. My husband is very good about giving me time, so when I do have a break, it would be really nice to have an neat ongoing project to look forward to.

I am pretty new to jewelry making, and am really excited about all the things to learn how to make! I could really use this book... I hope to grow my skills enough to start selling jewelry at craft fairs and help make a little money to help pay for art school. Even If I never made anything that was marketable, being inspired and taught to take my craft to another level would be such a reward.

I am a sea glass and small rock/stone beach comber every chance I get. Most recently we were in Pt Reyes National Seashore, where I found the most amazing stones and pebbles. I am looking forward to crafting my sea glass and stones into jewellery (and in fact have already wire-wrapped some of it into pendants).

i love making and wearing jewelery becuase you can be wearing the most plain and boring outfit. But add a necklace & braclet and suddenly you are transformed. Plus there is nothing more realxing than tip[ping the contents of a bead box in the floor and turing them into something original and fun
It seems that everything around us is mass produced. THis mass production means that there is no story or connection to the items in our lives. I think that being creative and making your own jewellery or clothing gives life to them. It means that it wasn't mass produced in a factory somewhere far away by someone who doesn't really care about who will end up wearing it. I like making my own jewellery not only because it means that I can be creative but it also means that the piece of jewellery means something.
Why do I like making jewelry? Because you can be creative, unique and well....thrifty :D
I love working with beads and making jewelry because the projects have way more instant gratification than my knitting or crochet projects. A quick pick me up.
Jewelry making can be about making items that match our own taste, bits of personality that we can wear and show around, almost certain that they are unique and made by oneself.

My daughter commented with surprise in her voice that the bead necklace that I made in about 1 hour "looks professional!" Hard to beat that for having fun and ending up with a wearable product.
I make jewelry but it tends to be conservative. I love the way Sonya mixes unexpected beads and pieces together in this book. I need some new inspiration to mix up my usual style.

Last week my sister and I took a beading class. It was a great way to relax from a long week, enjoy each other's company, and learn some great techniques. We both vowed to spend more time together creating jewelry, and purchased some tools at the end of class. Next stop is the bead store! This book would give us some great ideas to pour over.
I need a reboot in my jewelry making! I think Beadalicious would give me just that inspiration. I've let my beads and my tools get a little dusty, and really want to get back to beading!

Beading lets me show my creative side, as well as bring joy to others with beaded gifts.
Most of my beadwork is given to family and friends, along with being used as prizes for draws, fund raisers and contests. I do sell some of my beadwork, but -all- of the profits go directly to local charities(animal shelter, soup kitchen, providing safe and healthy activities for disadvantaged children in the community). I believe this book could be just the inspiration I need to really kick things up.
Being a student and avid DIYer, I probably wouldn't be able to afford to purchase a copy of this book. :( But I have no shortage of supplies at the ready!

i love sparkly things, and i love crafting. to me, making jewelry is about making beautiful things that speak to me and others - preferably, sparkly beautiful things. i like to feel like i am adding beauty to the world.
Beading is something that's never really clicked with me, so I'm always looking for THAT APPROACH that will finally resonate.
Also, I would love to be able to make jewelry for my daughter. I don't wear jewelry that much, but she is like a magpie, and this would be a fun (and cheap(er)!) way to keep her collection growing.

Hi! I've been a silent, daily reader for a long while now, but when i saw this fantastic book give away, I decided it's time to break the silence.
Why would i love this book? Because I'm bead CRAZY! Been gathering beads for years now, and although I've tried my hand at making some necklaces and bracelets, something usually goes terribly amiss, and they break after I've only worn them once. I need guidance....professional help (in a crafty way, of course!), and believe this book is the answer!
Ooooooh! I love jewelry by local artists like David Aubrey, but can't afford it most of the time. I always think to myself, "Hey! I'm a crafty gal! I can make that!" With this book, I actually could :)

I love making jewelry and passing it on to friends and family. It is an extension of me, and the love & joy I have for that person.
Why do I like to make jewelry? Because it allows me to be creative, work with wonderful colors and textures, and have something beautiful to wear - or to give - when I'm done. It's a time where I don't have to focus on the things I "need" to do - like cleaning or work. It allows my mind to wander, and ideas to come in to the quiet places. In a sense, it's a spiritual event. :D

This year I'm finally getting back into crafting after spending 5 years in grad school, another couple of years in massive debt and going through a divorce, and slowly rebuilding my life in all directions.
