MK Carroll took her Anne Lace Scarf ($5.50 in her Etsy Shop) and created different versions with different kinds of yarns so you can see the difference in the look as well as the final price. It's a beautiful way to really understand how yarn crochets together. Link.

I actually bought that pattern and made a couple scarves with it--definitely worth the money. I get compliments every time I wear mine out. :D
