Jenny from LJCFYI made these sweet teacup candles as holiday gifts, and I think they'd make a great gift for any time of year. Here's a link to her step-by-step photo tutorial. Link.

I made something similar for holiday gifts (Christmas and Chanukah. I used gel candle goo (wax?) and I tinted it with gold candle color and scented it with honey candle scent. Looks almost good enough to drink! Bought cups with the matching saucers from the local S.A. for $1.50 to $3.00 per set. Saved a bunch by making these and I think they were appreciated. This year I'll be looking at garage sales for some really nice teacups.

This is great! Every time I see unmatched teacups at rummage sales I wonder if I can make candles out of them. I always worried that it wouldn't be safe to actually burn the candles - that the cups might crack when the candle burns down. Now I will worry no more and I'll start snapping up those lonely beauties and make wonderful gifts out of them!
