This paper model of an AK-47 assault rifle really catches my eye:
"For a new art project, the designer Martin Postler has investigated the history, the aesthetics and the lethal seductiveness of the Kalashnikov. He has freed the AK-47 from its terrible capacity to injure and kill by deconstructing it into a paper model construction set. At the end of the construction process each person can decide if they would like to hang their own AK-47 on the wall, paint it, customize it with stickers or simply burn it. Anyone who thinks guns cause gun violence have obviously never handled a real gun let alone shot one. Besides as Britain and Australia have shown - silly ideas like banning guns just increase gun violence. As Heinlein said, "An armed society is a polite society"

I think that a weapon designed over 60 years ago is old enough to be appreciated for its aesthetic appeal. Not to mention that subversion is a more powerful force for change than direct opposition.
