Here's some news that makes me feel better about the world: SF designer Nick Graham has created a clothing label, William Good, that will sell redesigned and repurposed Goodwill duds. Now, this is nothing different than what most of the crafty world has been doing for years, but I love that he's officially working with Goodwill:

"As the original recycler, Goodwill Industries is thrilled to team up with Nick Graham to create an innovative, responsible approach to fashion," says Goodwill CEO Deborah Alvarez-Rodriguez. "Not only will the William Good brand create value out of discarded goods, it will also provide a whole new level of design, marketing, and sales training for our staff and our participants who have barriers to employment."

The flagship store is actually inside a Goodwill store, and will employ Goodwill employees. Wouldn't it be great if this started happening everywhere? For those of you that live in the Bay Area, there's an opening inside at the Goodwill at 1669 Fillmore St tonight from 6-8, but the rest of the world can shop on eBay.
