I hear you, and I didn't mean to imply that acrylic felt has been around longer-- not at all. I only meant that it's "old school" in that it is the type of felt most people in my generation grew up crafting with. But nowadays, more and more crafters are embracing traditional wool felt. Sorry for any misunderstanding.

"old school acrylic"? People have been felting wool for thousands of years, and acrylic so-called felt is merely an imitation of the original stuff.
