Amanda at Etsy Labs has a great tutorial showing you how to fuse plastic bags so you can refashion those plastic grocery bags into cooler looking totes! Link.

You can use this technique to create raw materials for plastic beads. Fuse four plys of the bag and then cut it up the way you would for paper beads. Roll the plastic, eh voila, a bead
