Blood Scarf by Laura Splan

Bloodscarf1 1
As seen today on Wired's blog and here on Subversive Cross Stitch, it's a bit curious as to why artist Laura Splan decided to create a knit scarf out of what would normally be an intravenous blood device. From the site, "The implied narrative is a paradoxical one in which the device keeps the user warm with their blood while at the same time draining their blood drip by drip." Maybe a cool project if you were in the hospital and you didn't have any yarn or if you were a vampire. Ok I'm about to faint here... Link.
