Food Art by Kuniko Maeda

Foodart Kumikomaeda
Kunio Maeda uses food as the focus to create her art. On the homepage of Kunio Maeda's web site, you are greeted with a striking image of sewn deli meat, later realizing it's actually a close up of her "Tablecloth" piece that is made up of sliced deli meat, cheese, and bread (pictured left). Also shown here is her "Cake Table" which people can actually eat. (Looks yummy. I think it's Tiramisu.) Start with the "Concept" section of her site to see her sketches and inspiration ideas along side the art pieces. [ via ] Link.
